Giving back with impact

By contributing to the Faculty and SHAWCO you’ll keep the legacy alive, enabling more young doctors to graduate with the world-class training needed to serve communities across South Africa, Africa and the world.

What each decade has given together

The Faculty and SHAWCO

The Students’ Health and Welfare Centres Organisation (SHAWCO) is UCT’s student-run community health and welfare organisation. Medical students volunteer in SHAWCO clinics through their studies, serving communities across the Cape while they learn.
