About the project
Re-connecting our many MBChB alumni in their era clusters.
Rekindle the flame. Reconnect. Make a difference.
Decades of Doctors brings UCT medical graduates back together, class by class and decade by decade. It starts with memories – graduation photographs going back to 1932, reunion albums and the stories our classes tell – and grows into a community that supports the next generation of doctors through the Faculty and SHAWCO.
Ambassadors for each decade keep their classmates in touch and help organise get-togethers, wherever in the world their class has settled.
This project will run first in Australia and New Zealand.
Who is behind it
This project was designed by Noel McIntosh and developed by Noel, the DAD and FHS teams, Melverna Joe, Jillian Shiels, Jenny Joseph, Lu Nteya and Linda Rhoda. The operation will be managed by Jillian Shiels and the DAD team, with the UCT Australian Trust.
